Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 16.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Seymour, Moe, Sunshine Coast, Kalgoorlie, Devonport and Alice Springs.
SEYMOUR: RACE 8 @ 3:55 PM
JUST PRESS SEND (13) is a lightly raced filly who resumes having won her only start to date at this track last time in, winning her maiden comfortably. Open to plenty more improvement and draws ideally. Should go close. HYDRO STAR (7) won well last start at Cranbourne which was just his 4th win from now 40 starts. Whether he can back it up and go on with the job remains to be seen but he's certainly good enough. ITHADTOBEZOU (8) resumes for a new stable. Her best form in Sydney last time in reads well for this. Keep safe. DIO (1) was a winner the last time we saw him in this grade and can bounce back. JUDGE KELLIE (12) won at Mornington last time out and could measure up.

MOE: RACE 2 @ 11:35 AM
SWEET JASMINE (12) started in the red at Werribee second-up beaten a whisker over a mile. She's in a top metro barn and has plenty up her sleeve. She should be winning. REDEVANCE (5) peaks off two close-up placings at Benalla and Seymour over this distance. Nolen is a positive jockey booking and he can make the finish again. LUCKY DUCK (11) threatened twice and then led as the favourite at Mornington beaten 2L over 1500m. She draws handier today and can stick on better. HURRICANE KETUT (2) will use the rail and has been knocking on the door. Has 223m further to run today and that's a niggle.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:05 PM
ELLA'S WORLD (7) has put two wins together including one over the mile here last time out when making up a stack of ground late. The extra furlong should suit and looks the galloper in this field with the most upside. Will be right there when the judge calls a halt. SIMPLY REFUSE (8) saves her best form for her home circuit here winning two of three and must be respected from the Bruce camp. Looks a serious threat. FAST LADY (6) doesn't know how to run a bad race and is a must for the multiples. The well-related ALPHA JANE (11) (full to G3 winner and G2 placed Pennino) rounds out the selections.
SELECTIONS: Ella's World to make it three on the trot.
KALGOORLIE: RACE 4 @ 2:35 PM
MUNGO JERRY (5) wasn't far away in his first-up run over this course and distance, with his fitness just giving out late in the race. He should have improved on that effort, which already rates highly in this line up. Can be prominent in the run and take catching. TALK IT UP (1) sat outside the lead and bolted in by 2.2L over this track and trip 28 days ago. Building a handy record here and he too possesses good early speed. Does rise in weight but a repeat effort would see him go close to winning again. DUNBAR (3) caught the eye from the back of the pack last start, beaten 2.2L. Back in trip is a little niggle, though if he can be there to pounce on straightening he'll be finishing off strongly late in the race. HILTON (4) boasts a strong first-up record and has to be included.

DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 7 @ 3:10 PM
A good race. SEYDOUX (4) has won his last three comfortably heavily bet. They stack right up and she tumbles in weight at this level. She races forward and can keep the ball rolling. Listed winner TURK WARRIOR (1) resumes and she's potent fresh and over this distance. Won his only start here and owns a recent trial win. Uses the low barrier and is a live chance. Listed winner ALPINE WOLF (2) resumes and is proven fresh and has won 3/3 this track/ distance. A hope as well. ARUMA (5) also resumes and the rails gate will advantage. Has won fresh and Newitt stays aboard. Has to be considered as well.

ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 1 @ 2:38 PM
DAKOTA LEE (2) is unbeaten in all of her eight starts on this track and her only career defeat came when she did not find the front at Moonee Valley after making a slow start. She is beautifully weighted in this fresh-up and should be too good. SUPREME TIMES (4) is a tough veteran who is always hard to beat on his home track. He too is not badly treated at the weights for a horse of his calibre and should be the main threat to his stablemate and top pick. MORGENSTERN (3) lost his way last prep and after some average runs, he was moved on to the Terry Gillett stable here. He races best when fresh up and can make his presence felt. FLYING START (5) is having his first start for the season and will probably need it. He is a consistent type who is worth including in all combinations.
