Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Doomben, Sale, Gawler and Belmont Park.

WARWICK FARM: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM

ELSIE MAY (8) appreciated the step up in distance when a dominant winner last start over 1550m at Canterbury. Open to further improvement at the third run back from a spell and can win again in a similar race. ALLHALLOWTIDE (10) was ridden more aggressively but couldn't finish off last time out over 1900m at Canterbury. Both his wins have come at this trip. Nicely placed to bounce back to form. SPACE AGE (4) has been safely held at both runs since crossing from Ireland. Strips fitter and will be more at home over the mile. No surprise to see him strike some form. PRESSER (2) defeated Sailor at Canterbury two back then didn't handle the class rise at Rosehill last time. Has his share of weight but back in this grade he is worth some thought. Distance specialist SAILOR (3) is racing well and is a solid top-four chance.
SELECTIONS: Elsie May to salute again.

DOOMBEN: RACE 3 @ 12:43 PM

THE HAMO (1) franked his recent trial win when dropping back into maiden company and scoring by nearly a length here a fortnight ago. He won't find this much harder and with only an extra kilo to carry in weight, he can repeat the dose. FITZPATRICK (2) won his maiden on the Sunshine Coast poly track by over 6 lengths and then ran third on the turf there last time out 17 days ago. He is perfectly drawn for this assignment and is going well enough to be hard to beat again. SAVOUR THE DREAM (7) was a beaten favourite on debut here a fortnight ago but did well to finish third after missing the start. He is drawn in the pole position here and a win would be no surprise. PETTICOAT (9) is a consistent juvenile who has not been far away in 3 starts since winning her debut. Each way value.
SELECTIONS: The Hamo to win.

SALE: RACE 8 @ 3:30 PM

GENERAL FIREPOWER (1) will prove very hard to catch if able to replicate what he did last start at Sandown-Lakeside, given an easy time in front and making the most of it, racing away to score by 4.5 lengths. No harder here and he's a winner here already. NOBLE CONQUEROR (7) ran out a smart winner here second-up in a slightly easier race, proving far too good as the even money favourite. Will only strip fitter and can measure up. GRONKOWSKI (6) continues to race well, an easy winner at Warrnambool two back before a strong second behind a progressive at Sandown-Lakeside. That form should hold up. SAVILLE STREET (15) is right in the mix.
SELECTIONS: General Firepower to win.

GAWLER: RACE 7 @ 3:15 PM

WINE BARRON (2) was well supported when resuming here last month but could only manage fourth. Kept fresh for this but has stayed in work with a nice tick-over trial here in-between starts. Electing to go with a senior rider in Pannell instead of a claimer shows the stable's confidence. Bold showing anticipated. BELMONT AVENUE (3) has put the writing on the wall in his last two. Is another that comes in on the fresh side but did go back to the trials to keep the legs ticking over. Main danger. SIR RANDOLPH (1) returns and makes his stable debut for Andrew Clarken. Has shown good ability in his first two preps and is right in the mix. BOLTED IN (5) has been out of the winner's circle for over year but is far from hopeless. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Wine Barron to win.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 5 @ 1:59 PM

SAFEKEEPER (8) was very good without winning in her debut campaign and she was very impressive at the trials recently, winning by 3.8L. She shouldn't be a maiden for much longer and if she can run up to her recent trial, she should be winning this. MYTHICAL MISS (6) returned in good order at Bunbury a fortnight ago, beaten just 1.2L over 1014m. She was a second-up winner last campaign and she has the speed to be prominent from an outside alley. Can go one better without surprising. MAGIC BELLE (5) went under in a photo finish last time out at Northam and drops back to the short course where she's been successful previously. The 2kg claim comes in handy and a repeat of her most recent effort will see her go close at the finish. TOROPA (2) was put away straight after the debut win. Will be ready with two trials coming in. Include.
SELECTIONS: Safekeeper can return with a victory.
