ATC Toasts New Foundation Partner

3 minute read

Prestige wine and spirits group Moët Hennessy has signed on as a Foundation Partner with the Australian Turf Club for the next five years.

The partnership with Moët Hennessy continues the ATC's commitment to being one of the world's most desirable destinations for thoroughbred racing, events and hospitality, across all four Sydney race tracks.

It will enable race goers at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm to experience prestige wine and spirit brands such as Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Chandon, Cape Mentelle, Cloudy Bay and Belvedere Vodka.

The agreement places Moët & Chandon as the official champagne of the ATC.

Fittingly, Moët & Chandon will also sponsor the $400,000 Group 1 Champagne Stakes, to be now known as the $400,000 Group 1 Moët & Chandon Champagne Stakes over 1600m on Schweppes Sydney Cup Day at Royal Randwick on April 28.

The five-year agreement will see the brands Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Chandon, Cape Mentelle, Cloudy Bay and Belvedere Vodka join BMW and Lion as Sydney racing's biggest supporters at Foundation Partnership status.

In another significant announcement, De Bortoli Wines has signed on with the ATC as a Gold Partner and will also supply all four ATC race tracks with its wines.

De Bortoli Wines has been a valued long time sponsor and wine supplier to Rosehill Gardens and will now have pourage rights across the four ATC Sydney tracks.

ATC Chief Executive Darren Pearce said a key advantage of being a merged club was the ability to negotiate sponsorship agreements across the four Sydney race tracks.

“Since the merger we have been able to offer our partners the opportunity to be involved with all four of our racecourses across Sydney,” Mr Pearce said.

“This approach makes perfect sense to many of our partners who can reach a much wider market than was previously available and do so with one agreement. It is great for the club and a great chance for our partners to get maximum leverage from their support of Sydney thoroughbred racing.”
