Knight Templar has produced some good form in recent times and looks well placed when stepping out at Doomben on Saturday.
The Patrick Busuttin-trained runner has won two of his last three, placing on the other occasion and despite taking on tougher here looks right up to winning a race like this.
Scott Galloway, who has ridden the gelding in his last three starts remains on board and from the inside draw he is likely to not be far away in the run.
Knight Templar (Race 5 #2) has a solid career record winning five of 20, placing on a further six occasions and fifth up today should be at peak fitness.
His recent form rates pretty well in this company and having had just the three runs for new yard appears to have settled into Queenland racing well.
The current price on offer of $4.80 looks pretty good and despite coming up against a couple of in form runners such as Superstition and One With Bling he has shown enough to suggest he can win a race like this.
Later in the day Divine Service (Race 7 #2) will look to build on some good form this campaign, having won two of his three starts, running second on the other occasions.
Finds himself taking on tougher company today and a big field but his last two efforts at Sunshine Coast rate pretty well here and at $8 looks a good each way bet.
Placed both runs over the trip previously and has been far from disgraced when running at this course in the past.
From the inside draw would expect him to be up on the speed and Daniel Griffin who has ridden all three starts this campaign remains on board.
If Divine Service can run up to and improve on his last couple of outings he can certainly feature in the finish of this race in what looks a competitive affair.
Last week saw the meeting abandoned due to rain which has led to a very open and competitive 10 race card today..
Good Luck!
