Talented three-year-old Vega Magic returned to the winner's stall at Belmont last start and appears well placed to go back to back on Saturday.

A winner of four of his seven starts the son of Lope De Vega is yet to miss the money and while beaten first up his form this time in has been very good.

Forced to give weight away to some very promising types, Vega Magic has picked up right where he left off and should now be at his peak racing third up.

Although the prospect of lining up against the older horses is never easy, Vega Magic gets in extremely well at the weights and he has drawn to receive all the favours in the final event.

A bold front-runner he also gets the pace angle to suit with Temporise, Gigante and Castle Retreat the only other likely front-runners.

The return to the firmer surface should also aid his chances as while he did win last start Vega Magic's best form against the clock has been on firm ground.

The form around Scales Of Justice makes for good reading with the latter most impressive winning last weekend - admittedly against his own age.

Currently installed a 5-4 chance may appear short enough, but in truth we have him well into the red and more than happy to take the price on offer.

Given it is the last race and the biggest field of the day you may even get better than 5-4 as no doubt many will be looking to take him on.

We feel if you can lock in anything better than even money then you've locked away a more than decent wager.

The Grant Williams trained Universal Law went down as the short priced favourite last start however the return to the firmer surface on Saturday should see him bounce right back in the fourth event.

A very impressive winner at this course and distance two back, Universal Law was clearly below his best last start, however he can and should be forgiven.

Lining up against a fairly moderate bunch he clearly possesses the most scope and with Pike sticking aboard he should take a power of beating.

Currently the best on offer is a shade better than evens and while some may find it hard to dive in at that quote, much like Vega Magic we have marked a lot shorter.

Universal Law's best form sees him well ahead of his rivals when assessing weight adjusted ratings and he should prove very hard to beat.
