Of The Day will look to continue her strong recent form when she lines up in the Benchmark 85 over 1200m at Doomben on Saturday.
The Tony Gollan-trained runner has been racing very well of late, winning her last two and three of her last four.
With Robbie Fradd staying on board, Of The Day should get a nice enough run off the pace from barrier 4 and she possesses an outstanding record not only at the course but the distance as well.
Goes up in weight on her last start win which is a slight concern but she still rates well on weight adjusted ratings and comes into the race with strong winning form.
Final Zero certainly looks the big danger having finished runner up to Of The Day her last two starts and does meet her better at the weights but the recent form from Of The Day has been terrific and she is open to further improvement.
Whilst I think Of The Day will be too strong again this looks a clear race in two and also an opportunity to take both runners in a quinella.
Later in the day, stablemate Says Me will line up in the Class 3 over 1200m after she was scratched in the last of the day.
Finished runner up in similar company over 1350m at this course last time out and comes into the race with three consecutive second placings.
Has run a very similar rating her last three starts which measures up very well for this on weight adjusted ratings and from barrier 2 Jim Byrne should settle around midfield off the leaders.
Does not win very often, saluting the judge just twice in 24 starts but has placed a further 10 occasions and does her best racing over the 1200m journey.
Will give a good sight once again and with the current favourite Sarajevo having not won in 952 days now happy to be with Says Me at the each way odds of $6.50.
Good Luck!
