Sun Princeps will look to build on his terrific Singapore debut when he lines up in the Class 4 Premier (1100m) on the Polytrack tonight.
The former Australian galloper was terrific in his first Singapore outing, claiming an open maiden over this C/D by six-and-half-lengths.
The three-year-old gelding has since trialled over 1000m and given over a month between runs which should have him fit and firing for this.
Whilst Sun Princeps did not beat a great deal of note last start, his Timeform rating of 75p measures up well against his rivals today and he still looks to have plenty of improvement to come.
Despite coming to Singapore as a maiden, Sun Princeps produced some very good form in Australia and with a career peak Timeform figure of 79 he can run a much improved race on what he did last start.
The son of Reward For Effort certainly appears to enjoy the polytrack and he can secure another win today from the good draw.
Lord Ascot has been knocking on the door this campaign, following up two solid placings with a last start fourth over 1200m in a Class 4 Non Premier.
The Stephen Gray-trained runner finished runner up to Zac Kasa two starts back who has since gone on to finish runner up in the Group 1 Lion City Cup last week.
That form reads well for this although Lord Ascot has only the one win to his name from 17 starts which came in April 2016.
Vlad Duric remains on board and will need a bit of luck from the wide draw but if recent form is anything to go by Lord Ascot should be right in the finish.
The lightly raced Arc Triumph had little luck over 1200m in a Novice last start and drawn much better today can return to form.
Placed in two runs prior to that both in Class 4 company and he should be able to find a nice spot off the leaders from barrier 2 today.
John Powell goes on board for the first time today and he certainly looks a horse with improvement to come who can run into the finish against these.
Super Six rounds out the main chances off a nice run in tougher company last start, beaten a length when runner up.
Drawn well enough today and would be no surprise to see him go one better in this.
Good luck!
