Race 1 1080m Mdn

Tricky. VELLA ICON (8) resumes and will be naturally improved. She can use the rail and 20% stable-striker Budler is reunited. Tipping she will be ready to go. LEGRIS (3) led and went close at Bathurst 37 days ago. He's trialled well here since with Heywood aboard and he rides today. CAPTAIN NAY (2) debuts and has trialled well. Martin sticks and will give him every chance from an inside barrier. The early betting suggests he will race boldly. SPINELESS (6) just missed in the same trial and will also win races. PUSHALOT (5) led and was narrowly beaten at Queanbeyan on debut. She surprised the market and is sure to have benefited from the outing. Cahill goes aboard.

Race 2 1080m Bm50

CHAMPAGNE IN LACE (2) is a leader who has won 2/3 this preparation and did it easily here 15 days ago at this level. Gets more weight but keeps the handy 2kg claim and will be fitter again. She can go back-to-back. PAPAVER MINER (9) was plain on the slow at Moruya but found a place here prior behind the above. The rail should be an advantage and he's on a quick back-up. LOVE OF AIR (4) placed here in the same contest and has a handy 2kg claim. May get closer. YAEL'S DELIGHT (8) went close at Cootamundra and can't be ruled out with Cahill sticking in the saddle.

Race 3 1750 CL1

Nick Olive-trained ONEFORIAN (4) led and was expected to win over a mile at Queanbeyan but was claimed late by Sonny Fella. He got even closer at Wagga prior and will race today at peak fitness. He will sit forward from the rails gate and has a handy 2kg claim. Drops back a level and rates to go one better. HIMEROS (7) has been racing in stronger races at Hawkesbury and Newcastle. Maps for a soft run and Cahill is a positive jockey engagement. Well-placed and is on a 9-day backup. MONTE DE SNOW (9) is metro-trained and has needed his two provincial outings. He can run along from an inside barrier and has the first-time tongue tie and winkers applied. A much better effort is anticipated. KANOOZI (5) posted a solid figure winning a Queanbeyan Maiden over 1600m. She can build on that.

Race 4 1280 Bm58

SIOVY DANE (4) is a leader who had been knocking on the door before blitzing a CL1 field here by 8 lengths. Raced a $3 favourite in that and didn't give them a look in. Keeps the small claim and can go on with the job. LADY REVOLUTION (8) placed distantly behind Siovy Dane and will be better for the outing. She has a soft draw and can get closer. GRINS (7) raced wide on speed winning her Maiden on the same day. She will be fitter again and the longer sprint shouldn't be an issue. She can keep building. FERRARI GIRL (2) resumed in good order winning a 50 at Cootamundra as expected. The 2kg claim helps and she has the early speed to clear the wide barrier. She should be around the mark.

Race 5 1206m Bm75 – Federal

DREAMING OF VEGAS (3) peaks off three close-up placings over 1000m. He's suited and the longer sprint won't prove an issue. CHASING A QUID (8) ran on well to place second here behind Craving Magic in a 65. He's up to this, maps for a soft run and tumbles in weight. Keep well onside. WHAT A PEACH (5) resumes for a new barn and is proven fresh. Owns a trial win here and has a soft draw. Has the ability and should go well. STARLIV (7) raced forward and won the corresponding race 15 days ago over a shorter journey. Keeps the 2kg claim and should be in the money.

Race 6 1280m Mdn

VILLACH (5) has switched from a Victorian yard off a 48-day freshen. He's been racing in better Maidens and his figures are good enough. He has residual fitness and maps for a soft run. Drops back to a sprint and the early betting suggests he's pleasing. OH WHAT A KNIGHT (4) was beaten 1L here behind Allegro Miss spiking his figures. He should find cover and get every chance to go one better. ALFAVITA (1) peaks on a 9-day return. Had excuses at Hawkesbury last time and assess his chances on the 3L defeat at Newcastle prior. He's lightly raced and Cahill is a positive jockey booking. ENAMENT (7) resumed here and folded up from the speed. She went close here two-back on the turf and quick improvement is likely.
