Race 1: Charm Catcher
We head to the midweeks for this edition of keep an eye on, where we saw a promising one debut.
In the opener, it was the debut win of Charm Catcher from the Andrew Gluyas team that has our tongues wagging at R&S.
Although not rating through the roof on the Racing and Sports scale running to 72+, it was how much the three-year-old Blue Point filly had up her sleeve crossing the line.
Settling back early behind a solid early tempo, Lachlan Neindorf hooked his mount out at the top of the straight to let down with her challenge, and boy didn't she do just that.
6.5L off them at the turn, the filly lengthened stylishly down the outside as she picked off her rivals, cruising softly in the end to score by 0.7L.
With plenty of improvement to come, Charm Catcher will be winning again soon and looks one to follow up on in the Autumn.
