Gutsy Chris Waller mare Catkins turned in another fighting performance to land her first Group win.
Catkins began smartly from her outside barrier (12) and was then eased to travel in fifth place, wide with cover.
She moved up nicely in the centre of the track passing the 300m, challenged strongly at the 100m battled on a little too well for a narrow but good win at the post.
Hi Belle was about eighth between runners to the 600m. She followed the eventual winner into the straight, switched out to challenge at the 200m and fought on gamely for a close second.
Flash Of Doubt was sixth on the rails to the turn, went to the rails at the 300m and kept battling on well for a close third. Anabaa’s Legacy led the field to the 200m point and held on fairly well for fourth.
