2015 Tattersall’s Mile Listed July 18 - Doomben

3 minute read

Jetset Lad wins 2015 Tattersall’s Mile Listed $100,000 at Doomben (QLD), 1640m.

Jetset Lad, winner of this race last year, put up a good effort to win again despite his top weight (58.5kg). He was a bit slow to move from his good barrier (2) and settled in seventh place on the rails, following a solid pace. He improve nicely on the inner rounding the home turn, challenged at the 200m and lifted gamely for a narrow but good win.

Little Brown Horse was ninth on the rails, followed the eventual winner through along the rails from the home turn and challenged strongly at the 200m. He then battled well for a good second, just finding the winner (whom conceded him 4.5kg) too good.

Epic was fourth one out and one back before moving up well (three wide) nearing the home turn. He challenged at the 300m and then fought on quite well for a sound third.

Kapers was eighth, one off the rails, switched deep on passing the 300m and made good late ground for (1.6 lengths) fourth.
