Godolphin-raced colt Holler was shade slow to move but quickly recovered and showed good pace to take the lead. He then travelled well in front, dashed clear nearing the home turn and was not threatened from that point to win easily.

Brockhoff settled outside the leader (Holler), was under riding from the home turn and kept battling on to hold second.

The winner’s stablemate Demonstrate did not show any early pace before improving to settle seventh on the rails. He was under pressure coming to the home turn, got through to fourth on straightening and made ground for a sound third.

Well Sighted was fifth on the rails, got through to be third at the home turn and battled on in the straight to finish (5.9 lengths) fourth.

Favourite Mawahibb began well but was trapped wide from barrier eight before settling in fifth place (caught three deep without cover). He was under pressure coming to the home turn before finishing a disappointing (8.7 lengths) fifth.
