Zin Zan Eddie wins 2016 Carrington Stakes Listed $150,000 at Randwick (NSW) 3yo+, 1400m.
Zin Zan Eddie settled nicely in fourth place, one off the rails, following a moderate early tempo (first 800m 49.67) before moving up (three wide) approaching the home turn. Hidden Warrior travelled well in second place to the home turn and kept battling on quite well to hold the minor placing.
You'll Never was a bit slow to move, but improved along the rails to be third nearing the home turn. He then battled on to hold fourth, beaten four lengths while the top weight (59kg).
Red Excitement was last all the way in five-horse field, finding it hard to make ground in the sprint home in the Heavy8 conditions.
