Trap For Fools wins 2017 Churchill/Ga Towton Cup-Bm89+ Listed $100,000 at Ascot (WA), 2200m.

Trap For Fools winner of the Tattersall's Cup (Listed, 2100m) at this track on 25 November took out his second stakes success in recording his fifth successive win here. He began well and gradually worked to the front. He then travelled nicely at a moderate pace, until some challengers came nearing the home turn. He then dashed clear shortly afterwards and went on to score easily.

Former Victorian-trained gelding Angola led early on before settling in third place, on the rails. He got along the inner on turning for home and battled on well for second, having no chance with the winner.

Falcon Crest raced outside the leader (Trap For Fools), put some pressure on him approaching the home turn and then kept battling on in the sprint home for third, seemingly unsuited by the steady early pace.
