  CANNINGTON

Race 3 No. 4 Gnarly Nala and No. 7 Knight Fright

A couple to spec where a few first starters will be short. Maidens and anything can happen here and at least these two have plenty of experience and the small field suits. Nothing silly but top two chances at odds.

Race 4 No. 1 Dozen Staples and No. 5 Emmy Nakayama

Backing up on them both this week after they were good last time. The 1 was very unlucky not to get a race winning run. She just missed a gap which would have seen her run home section hard to stop. Boxed to get a lovely fence run again. The 5 isn't badly drawn here. She can step and get right there quickly and she sticks on well. Expect her to figure if she lands close.

Race 5 No. 4 Rock Solid Kid and No. 6 Cherry Blue

Several leaders here means the 4 will smoke the fence pipe again and be hard to hold out when he makes that mid race charge as he did last week when scoring. Great EW bet. The 6 will spear for the arm and that's all that stands between her and victory. She's not for catching when she leads and she is flying atm. Save on her.

Race 6 No. 5 Whiskey On Rocks

Another who was half a run away from getting a spot that would have seen her hit the frame last week. The map again lends itself to her getting the fence behind the wide running speed and she is starting to come good now. Place heavy go.

Race 7 No. 1 No   Best Bet   Trace  and No. 8 Outstride

The 1 only has to step and hold up into the back. If he finds that arm, they are running for 2nd. He can still win even if he's close. The 8 will go well here. Capable of lobbing around into a striking spot and sustains a fair run home. EW prospects for him.

Race 10 No. 6 Clifton Matilda and No. 2 Quick Lands   Best Value

Tricky race. The 8 will be short but not sure it's going that well. It also can't afford to give the 6 any start and that's most likely the case here. A former good stayer who has been slowly getting back to something like her best. She will be hard to catch. The 2 is interesting. Crying out for this trip but is notoriously slow early. Could make things interesting if he was to stay on the back of these with a lap to go. Bred to run this trip and more.

Race 11 No. 1 Rex Hunter

Gets an all time map here upon resumption. With the dog immediately outside him stepping quickly and racing wide, Rexy just needs to hold his spot and could drive up for the arm here. Has a very fast PB and box starts superb. If he's right, he wins.

  THE MEADOWS

Race 4 No. 8 Rock The Marjen

Race 6 No. 5 Piccolo Bale

Race 8 No. 1 Raven Parrot and No. 7 Camp Fire

Race 12 No. 2 Microscopic
