Last game of a shortened round is a vital one for both sides given they are in the Eight but may not be for too much longer.

GWS will be disappointed at losing to Hawthorn even though they are a rapidly improving side. It's never easy to win in Launceston.

They actually played OK and a few decisions late didn't go their way that is for sure. But missing those excellent, high drawer midfielders like Kelly and Coniglio meant it fell to much more of the inexperienced brigade.

Strangely for a side full of big men and big names up forward, they can't hit the scoreboard enough. Cadman, Riccardi, Hogan, Brown alongside Greene only got them 5 goals.

If the forwards can't kick them the mids have to and without those previously named, it's a problem. Kelly back helps.

Mind you Port isn't exactly coming off riveting form lines. They shouldn't have beaten Hawthorn, did enough over the Kangas then got towelled up by the Blues.

With no Rozee to help then, the midfield efforts were spread but not damaging. Add to that little up front from Dixon with Marshall and trouble awaits.

GWS won't want to drop this if they aim for Top 4 and yet it is Port that hold that spot despite not being recognised as much. Port has made some big calls at selection.

The Giants will be up for it and take them to win/cover the start.
