In the absence of the mighty Douvan and last year's winner Un De Sceaux, Fox Norton is the red-hot favourite to claim his third Grade One success in the Betfair Tingle Creek on Saturday.

Fox Norton repeated last year's success in the Shloer Chase with an authoritative display in the Grade Two heat at Cheltenham.

The Showcase meeting at Cheltenham concluded today with trainer Neil Mulholland and jockey Noel Fehily enjoying a good afternoon with exciting chasers Fox Norton and Shantou Village both winning on a seven-race card headlined by a pair of £50,000 handicap chases, both sponsored for the first time by Randox Health, and the £35,000 Masterson Holdings Hurdle.

Shantou Village is likely to be one of the stars on show at Cheltenham on day two of The Showcase.

Fox Norton confirmed himself as an above-average novice chaser at Cheltenham's Open meeting and has his trainer Neil Mulholland dreaming of big-race success in the spring.
