37 for Declaration Of War
The Archie Watson-trained Nazanin (2 f ex Woodland Scene by Act One) became stakes winner number 37 for Declaration Of War (War Front) when the Blue Diamond Stud-bred filly got up in the final strides to beat Canonized (Acclamation) in the Firth Of Clyde Stakes (Gr 3, 6f) at Ayr on Saturday.
“Nazanin has been taking huge steps forward,” said winning jockey Hollie Doyle. ”In the Lowther last time the ground was very quick and I felt as though she didn’t let herself down. Today I let her use herself and she’s got through that ground lovely.
“She’s been highly tried on her last two runs so it’s always a bit worrying, you don’t know whether you’re over-facing them but we’ve always known she’s got the ability.”
Thrilling finish!
