Night Of Thunder heads the seven stallions at a fee of €50,000
Darley has announced that seven of its stallions will cover to Southern Hemisphere time this year. Night Of Thunder (Dubawi) will be the most expensive of these, with his fee set at €50,000.
The Kildangan Stud-based son of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) stood this year's Northern Hemisphere breeding season at a fee of €100,000. He has sired 35 stakes winners to date headed by Group 1 winners in Highfield Princess, Kukeracha and Thundering Nights. In Australia, Night Of Thunder has sired 41 winners from 50 runners which include his Group 1 Queensland Derby (2400m) winning son Kukeracha as well as Group 2 winner Cherry Tortoni, Group 3 winning filly A Beautiful Night and Listed winners River Night and Hela.
It was announced earlier in the year that Palace Pier (Kingman) would not shuttle to Australia this season, but breeders will be able to use him at Dalaham Hall Stud in Newmarket and his fee is £25,000. The son of Kingman (Invincible Spirit) shutted to Australia last year for the first time, covering 97 mares.
Former Haunui Farm shuttler Iffraaj (Zafonic), who is now based permanently at Dalham Hall Stud, will cover for £10,000.
The other stallions being offered to Southern Hemisphere time are Cracksman (Frankel), Masar (New Approach), Space Blues (Dubawi) and Naval Crown (Dubawi).
Sam Bullard, Darley's director of stallions, said. "We are pleased to be able to offer southern hemisphere breeders a great range, from top international proven stallions to younger commercial options.
"Night Of Thunder is doing as phenomenally well in Australia as he is here, and Palace Pier's first Australian crop is so well bred, it's a near certainty his second crop will be in great demand at the sales.
"As ever, our stallions are available to view by appointment, and we very much welcome visitors during the July Sales."
