Up and coming galloper Magic In The Mix will look to maintain his unbeaten record when contesting the NBN Television Cannonball (1200m) at Wyong this afternoon.

The David Vandyke-trained galloper has been faultless in two runs so far this campaign, recording a pair of soft kills at Nowra.
They have been clinical victories with the Magic Albert gelding leading throughout and running smart time in the process.
Magic In The Mix has improved with each career outing and is expected to take another step in this afternoon’s NBN Television Cannonball Benchmark 70 Handicap (1200m).
With the scratchings of two inside him, Magic In The Mix will take up a forward position with minimal fuss from barrier 3.
From there he should take plenty of catching.
While we expect him to maintain an unbeaten career record at start number four, Vandyke’s promising sprinter does take on his toughest opposition to date.
No Bad Blood looms as the main danger.
The Kim Waugh-trained gelding hit form at the end of his winter campaign and backed it up when resuming at Gosford on January 10.
His winning effort assessed at 85 came in five pounds superior to Magic In The Mix’s last start success and you would suspect he is capable of further improvement second up.
The Danzero gelding does carry 3.5kg more than Magic In The Mix though which is the equivalent of seven pounds.
Also against the four-year-old was how easily Magic In The Mix ran to his latest peak of 80 whereas No Bad Blood had to pull out everything for his slender win.
Regardless, No Bad Blood should roll forward also and the anticipated favourite should know he is there.
Arawak resumes nearly a month after trialling at Randwick.
The Peter Snowden-trained gelding will be better suited over further than the 1200m on offer however does have sound enough first up and distance credentials to feature in the finish.
Outside of this trio the likes of Manasota and Kimberley Kid could be knockout hopes.
Both aren’t far into their current preparations and dropping back to provincial level, each can work into the placings.
It does appear full steam ahead though for Magic In The Mix.
After the deluge of rain Australia’s eastern states encountered less than a week ago, the Wyong course proper has recovered to a Slow 6.
With good drying conditions anticipated for today, it wouldn’t be a surprise seeing the track enter the Dead range which for now is ideal for the gelding.
The astute Warwick Farm-based stable are firmly of the opinion at least a Saturday metropolitan level victory lies in store for Magic In The Mix.
He edge’s closer to that goal today so sit back and watch the magic at Wyong.
