Roots won this race two years ago and hasn't been seen at Flemington since. She hasn't had many favours in harder races this preparation but she should be last in a race that won't have a strong tempo and for that reason, I must be against.
Ipswich: Race 4; #1 Brazen Act 
He's coming out of metro grade and has a gun apprentice aboard, but he's been beaten big margins as a roughie at his past couple, so I can't get him this short. The outside barrier is a negative, with some speed drawn inside him from #2 & #4.
Hawkesbury: Race 4; #3 So Sleek
SO SLEEK comes into this race in solid form having placed in his 3 runs this prep and coming in off the strong form line with FLYING BANDIT who franked the last start form when winning Tuesday. But happy to go around SO SLEEK here today. His better form has come on wetter tracks and the dry conditions may play against him here while CHEVAL SAVANT hasn't gone well this prep but is dropping well done in grade for this run today.
GREYHOUNDS
Sandown Park: Race 10; #3 Sunset Frazier
Sunset Frazier usually has a great forward pattern but there is a ton of early and mid race pressure across the board here and I am prepared to take him on at his first Victorian start hoping he needs the run.
Sandown Park: Race 12; #8 Mepunga Rocky
Mepunga Rocky should find this easier than recent starts but from Box 8 he still may not be able to cross these rivals cleanly at the first bend. If he gets side swiped trying to cross I doubt he can win.
HARNESS
Penrith: Race 6; #3 Silent Reaction
Found this a very open race. Silent Reaction hit the line well last week in a race that was run to suit. Not sure where he maps tonight and think there is a number of chances here.
