Have this as a very competitive race and feel THE ENCHANTER comes up a little short in the market considering he has only had the 1 run previously, and is drawn out wide which feels that it could give him the potential to get caught out in an awkward position in running.
Dom ran a career best rating on debut at Geelong and regressed in both runs since. He maps well and gets Blake Shinn, both of those factors should keep him short in the market but I think three horses are at least as likely as him to be winning this race.
GREYHOUNDS
The Meadows: Race 7; #2 Russian Raccoon
Russian Raccoon looks to be a distance query, her best runs have been over 425m at Bendigo and I can't see her being able to compete with My Hummingbird if it becomes a Match Race down the back straight. Her run and win at this venue was back in April but that result should ensure she stays short enough to Lay.
HARNESS
Echuca: Race 7; #1 Lorimermajor
This horse does appear suited here from a plum draw over the sprint trip. However, this driver has an ordinary record when jumping aboard – 16 drives for a solitary placing not enthusing me so I'm risking him.
