California Chrome will stand at Arrow Stud in Japan next year.
Arrow Stud announced 2020 stud fees with the 2014 Kentucky Derby (Grade 1) winner due to stand his first season in Japan at a fee of Y4,000,000 ($55,000).
A 7-time Grade 1 winner, California Chrome retired to stud in 2017 and stood his first 3 seasons at Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky.
He will stand alongside Shanghai Bobby who will be standing his second season at Arrow Stud for a fee of Y2,000,000 unchanged from his 2019 fee when he covered 109 mares.
Another new addition to Arrow Stud in 2020, Roger Barows, will stand for Y1,200,000. The son of Deep Impact won this year's Japanese Derby (Grade 1) and was retired earlier this year through injury.
