Gelding provides Cityscape with ninth stakes winner.
Having finished second in the Lion Rock Trophy (Gr 3, 1600m) last season, Ka Ying Star (5 g ex Casual Glance by Sinndar) went one better this year in the Group 3 and in the process provided Cityscape (Selkirk) with his ninth stakes winner.
The five-year-old gelding stayed on well to beat Southern Legend (Not A Single Doubt) by a neck with another short-head back to Fast Most Furious (Lope De Vega) in third.
The gelding is one of six winners out of winning and stakes placed mare Casual Glance (Sinndar), who is herself a half-sister to Group 2 winner Passing Glance (Polar Falcon), Group 3 scorer Hidden Meadow (Selkirk) and Listed-winning duo Kingsclere (Fairy King) and Scorned (Selkirk).
This year Casual Glance produced a sister to Ka Ying Star.
Cityscape's progeny is headed by Brazalian Grade 1 winner Top One Scape and the stallion stood at Overbury Stud in Gloucestershire for a fee of £5,000 in 2020.
