Son of Scat Daddy relocates to Shizunai Stallion Station
Coolmore Stud's Caravaggio (Scat Daddy) will continue his stud career in Japan at the Shizunai Stallion Station.
Unbeaten in four starts as a juvenile including in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes (6f), Caravaggio added a second Group 1 to his resume at three when he defeated Harry Angel (Dark Angel) in the Commonwealth Cup (6f) at Royal Ascot.
He was retired to Coolmore Stud in Ireland at the conclusion of his three-year-old season and stood there for three seasons before standing at the operation's Ashford Stud in Kentucky in 2021 and 2022. He shuttled to Coolmore Australia for just one season in 2018.
The son of Scat Daddy (Johannesburg) has sired eight stakes winners to date headed by his dual Group 1 winning daughter Tenebrism.
Caravaggio's 2022 fee was advertised at US$35,000.
