The $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate is being held at Bendigo for the first time for two-year-olds nominated to the Inglis Race Series which were offered at last year's Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale.
In 2011 the Inglis Autumn Plate was won by Blue Beret and the same training team of Paul and Tracey Templeton has De Master in contention for the 2012 prize.
Trial winner Edgewood from the Robbie Griffiths stable is one of 10 horses having their first start. The Churchill Downs colt won a trial at Cranbourne earlier this month over Danger Close, who is also tackling this race for trainer Jason Warren.
Another trial winner is Soldier's Tale filly The Rite of Spring. The Aaron Purcell trained filly comprehensively won a trial two weeks ago and is one of three Warrnambool trained two-year-olds in the Inglis Autumn Plate.
Fellow Warrnambool trainer Matthew Williams has both Nador and Sight The Cash set for the race.
An interesting runner resuming is Fomalhaut colt Unique Assassin.From the Frankie Stockdale yard, the colt hasn't been seen since last October when contesting the Listed Debutants Stakes at Caulfield.
