Red Ransom’s classy son Duporth sired his sixth first crop winner on June 26 to again underline that he is emerging as a perfect out-cross for Danehill or Danehill-line mares.
Mamaroochy, trained in Perth, landed the juvenile event at Northam at her second racecourse appearance.
Mamaroochy is out of the Danehill mare Wishes and is the fourth winner sired by Duporth from a Danehill daughter or a Danehill-line mare.
She joins winners Penzance, Advertencia and Two Over One, who are all out of mares by sons of Danehill.
Danzero is the broodmare sire of Penzance, while Flying Spur mares are responsible for Advertencia and Two Over One.
Duporth has now had 10 runners out of Danehill-line mares for four winners as wel as the high class prospect Cornrow. The G1 placed Cornrow is from a daughter of Exceed and Excel.
Cornrow, who was placed this season in the G1 Blue Diamond, G1 ATC Sires Produce and G2 Todman Stakes, is being set for the g1 Golden Rose and G1 Caulfield Guineas.
Another son of Duporth in Inkling, an impressive debut winer at Warwick Farm, is also on the Golden Rose path.
