Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Ballina, Corowa and Ballarat.
BALLINA: RACE 3 @ 3:05 PM
COOL SHALAA (1) resumes from a spell following a last start third over 1000m at Grafton when trying to lead all of the way. She jumps from an inside gate and with a 3kg claimer in the saddle is expected to go close to taking this race out. She has won fresh-up previously and should be fighting out the finish. She opened up as the $2.20 favourite on the TAB 'Fixed Odds' market yesterday. THE LIGHT FANDANGO (6) resumes from a long spell and is having her first start from a new stable. She finished second over 1000m at Grafton in her only start last prep and having had the benefit of a recent trial run should be ready to fire. SEPTEMBER GIRL (9) showed early speed from an outside draw to race up on the speed but faded out in the run home to finish 10th over 1106m at Grafton. She races well over today's track and distance and can return to form. HEAD CASE (3) resumes from a spell and after winning a recent trial is worth including in combinations.
SELECTIONS: Cool Shalaa should be winning.

BRENLYN'S DAISY (1) classy mare going nicely through her grades. Wound up strongly from the wide gate when a sharp winner over 1200m at Wodonga on October 19. Back in trip today and can win again with the solid tempo anticipated. PRETTY PENGUIN (5) finally drawn a good barrier this time in and can turn it around after finishing ninth over 1106m at Benalla last time out. Smart on her day and go on her smart win three back. LEDECKY'S DREAM (2) far from disgraced with the 61.5kg first up when sixth over 900m at Albury on October 12. Has a sound second up record and look for her charging late. ROSIE'S PROPHECY (8) racing in a rich vein of form and the pacifiers go on today. Shed her maiden status two back, before powering late when an unlucky second over 900m at Albury on October 12. Sure to be thereabouts from the good gate.

BALLARAT: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
Looks a race in two. WISE LEGEND (1) just missed over the same trip last time and continued a good run of form. Aided by the claim and should go close again. ONLYGOLDWILLDO (3) has been in great form this campaign and now peaks third-up for first try at the 2000m. Hard to beat on recent efforts. IVA MISSION (2) was unplaced fresh but not far from the winner. Fitter and extra trip a big plus. Looks the big improver of the race. THREE EARLS (5) was safely held latest but has ability and the blinkers go on. Can improve sharply. VIC REEL (9) has been freshened since a close-up third over a bit further last time. Among the chances on best.
