The Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare & Biosecurity Policy have advised that NOBALS, which is entered to run in The LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint, was found to have developed a fever with evidence of an infection after arriving in Hong Kong on 1 December 2024.

NOBALS is currently receiving ongoing veterinary care and treatment and as a result it has been recommended that the horse does not undertake any exercise on the training track until cleared by the Club's Veterinary Surgeons.

Nobals  will continue to be monitored by Veterinary Officers and a further update will be released when appropriate.
