Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maiden fillies with all but one racing for the first time. (10) MIGHTY AMI trialed up in July and while she finished ten-lengths behind the experience Sinui Yeoje, she posted a good time and showed some maturity at the head of the chasing pack. Moon Se-young rides and she has as good a chance as any. On trials, (4) ELDORADO PARTY is the logical danger. She led for most of her heat and was only passed late to finish 2nd in a good time. She draws well to be on pace and can be in this a long way. She may well start the betting favourite. (2) GWACHEON QUEEN steadily improved across three trials with the best being her latest on August 29th when 3rd. She too draws well to sit on speed or handy and can go close. The sole one with experience is (7) RAON THE KEISHA, who only managed 6th of nine on debut but should have derived some benefit from real competition. Returning to the debut makers, (8) GEUMBIT RUNNER posted the next quickest trial time.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maidens with seven of the twelve racing for the first time. There is some useful experience here though, and (12) DUSON OPEN shapes as the favourite. She debuted over 1000M on August 25 leading for most of the way around before having to settle for 2nd in a good time. She should have come on for the run and while she has the challenge of the widest gate, she won't need to find much to win this. (2) TAEPYEONG LEGEND is the only one in the field who has raced twice. After a fair debut, he improved to a close 3rd in a good time at this distance on August 17th. From a great draw, he will be on pace, and he has every chance. Turning to the first timers, (3) REMEMBER AGAIN went through three trials, improving each time, most recently with a close 4th place in a good time on September 12th. 1200M can suit first up. (1) ONE PUNCH DRAGON took two goes to qualify but looked competent in his second attempt on July 25th, coming from off the pace and posting a good time. If he brings that form to the races, he will be in the mix. (6) SMART MUSIC, 5th on debut was a long way behind the winner, but previously won a trial, and may have a say.

Selections (12) Duson Open (2) Taepyeong Legend (3) Remember Again (1) One Punch Dragon

Seoul Race 3: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Class 4 but for juveniles so we have a field of imports with ten of the twelve racing for the first time. The two experienced ones showed ability, and they go on top. (10) KONGNAMUL ran 4th over 1200M on August 18th, racing handy throughout and clocking a good time. He should have come on for the run and Moon Se-young stays on. (12) WORLD PEOPLE made his debut at 1000M on September 1st, showing on pace and briefly leading late on before finishing 4th. He too should have derived benefit from that and with some natural improvement can have an edge over the debut-makers. As for those, (4) FINAL K looked the best in trials. He was a well beaten 2nd but that was behind only Ultra Galaxy, a five-time winner. He ran on well and can be a threat. (7) ELDORADO HAENAM won his heat and, along with (2) PRIME CROWN, is another first-time starter to keep safe.

Selections (10) Kongnamul (12) World People (4) Final K (7) Eldorado Haenam

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Standard maiden. (4) K POWERFUL has made steady progress across three starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place over 1300M on September 1st, when stalking the lead throughout. From a better gate he can be expected to lead, or at least be very close to the lead, and he can go one better today. (1) BEST KINGDOM returned from seven months out to run a fair 5th over this distance on August 18th. He should strip fitter for that run, and he has a smart finish on him. (8) MEGA STEP comes in off back-to-back 3rd place finishes at 1200M. She has come from off the pace to do her best work late in all three of her starts so far, and it is possible that the step up in trip can be in her favour today. (7) ARNOLD QUEEN and (9) SAVANA CHARLIE other place chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) YONGBI TAEYANG did nothing on debut but was a much-improved 2nd at start number two on August 24th, when coming from off the pace and beating a couple of these over this distance. He won't need to improve much on that to win here, and he will start as a warm favourite. (3) BEAT DOKKAEBI is the clear second pick. She too was ordinary on debut but perked up at start two on August 25th when ridden handier and running on for 3rd place. Both her outings have been over 1000M, and she may welcome the step up in trip today. (5) KING WARRIOR debuted behind Yongbi Taeyang in that August 24th race and while he ultimately weakened, he did lead for the middle part. He should have derived benefit from that experience and can stick around a bit longer this time. (1) LEGEND TANSAENG is the best of the rest before the form drops off precipitously. Perhaps (2) YONGAM KANTHAKA can improve having at least hinted at ability in a trial prior to debut.

Seoul Race 6: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Another warm favourite here and this time it's the turn of (1) STUNNING SERVE. True, he is an eleven-race maiden, but he has been getting progressively closer across his recent starts, culminating in a 2nd place over 1300M on August 17th. He is among seven of these who come up to two turns for the first time and today can be his day at last. (9) GANGCHEOL DRAGON has a couple of 3rd places to his name, among six top five finishes. He generally sticks to his task well and should see out the additional distance ahead of plenty of these. (8) BLACK SIDAE beat a couple of these on the way to 4th place over 1300M on August 24th and that's enough to put him in at least the placing frame. (4) SAENAE PARK and (11) MARUBYEOL are other possibles.

Seoul Race 7: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(11) BAEKRYONG is a thirteen-race maiden, but he is a multiple placer at this class including last time out over 1400M on August 25th. He comes up to 1800M for the first time, Harry climbs on, and it could be exactly what he needs. (8) HANGANG CAPTAIN got his maiden win at the seventh time of asking over 1700M on September 1st, leading for most of the way He comes up in class but is down slightly in weight and he has every chance of measuring up.  (2) BAZOOKA BOY will need a line drawn through his latest when weakening after using up plenty of energy from a wide draw over 1400M. He races at this distance for the first time, but he has won at 1700M and can be very much in the mix in this company and from a good gate. (6) HEUIMANGUI CHANGA and (5) PLAN B among other placing possibles.

Seoul Race 8: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies only here.  Dortmund wasn't able to sire many here before his sad death, but his small sole crop looks promising, chief among them (8) MISS DORTIE. She's one for one having come from midfield to score on debut back on July 11th over 1000M. She's had eleven weeks off since, but it looks like this race has been targeted and she can maintain her 100% record. (4) STUNNING QUEEN got her maiden win two starts back over this distance before running 4th on her first try at this class on August 18th, beating a couple of these in the process. She likes to race handy or on pace, and she will be challenging for favourite status. (2) META is up in class having won at just the second time of asking over this distance on August 17th. She is down in the weights, is well drawn, and can measure up. (5) MINT PLAY and (1) CHANIGO among plenty of others with place chances.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) HANSEN STAR won on debut in a double -quick time over 1000M, before running 2nd in the Rookie Stakes over this distance on August 25th, leading for most of the way before being taken down late by Captain P.K.  While that does bring him up to class 4 very rapidly, in this company he can be expected to go to the lead again, and this time to go one better and win.  (8) WONDERFUL LORD is also up in class following back-to-back 2nd place finishes at class 5 at 1200M and 1300M. He is another on pace horse who has posted fast times and a 4kg weight drop brings him into this. (1) ULTRA HIT took a few goes to figure things out but she has won her last two to come rapidly up in class. She draws nicely on the inside and can be competitive again. (2) URUS KHAN and (4) GEUMSE, the latter requiring a line through his latest, are others in the hunt.

Selections (7) Hansen Star (8) Wonderful Lord (1) Ultra Hit (2) Urus Khan

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) WONPYEONG STORM won on debut at this class over 1000M on September 1st, settling close to the speed and running on well. The additional trip shouldn't be a problem, and he's favoured to make it two from two here. (1) NAVY CAPTAIN has run 2nd in both his two starts so far, first over 1200M and then at 1000M in that race behind Wonpyeong Storm on September 1st when he led for much of the race. He comes down slightly in the weights here, he draws well, and there is no reason the extended trip can't suit. (2) UWANGRYUNG made all to win at this class over 1200M on August 24th. That was a big uptick in form, but a repeat of that effort can see him in placing contention here. (7) LAKSI and (4) MISS CUPID are others in the hunt.

Selections (5) Wonpyeong Storm (1) Navy Captain (2) Uwangryung (7) Laksi

Seoul Race 11: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(7) FLYING STAR took part in all three legs of the Triple Tiara, and got stronger as the series progressed, finishing in 5th, 4th, and 2nd. She returned to regular class 3 on October 18th and was a solid 4th place at this distance and lined up in this company she will be warmly favoured to return to winning ways. (3) MANDAERO is up in class having won two of his latest three, most recently over a mile on August 24th. He tackles 1800M for the first time but is down a full 3kg in the weights and he can be a factor again. (9) VICTORY HIT beat a couple of these into 2nd and 3rd when winning at this class over a mile on August 24th. While she hasn't excelled at this trip so far, she has won at 1700M and with an apprentice jockey keeping her weight low, another win isn't impossible. (2) FUN CRAZY, 2nd when favourite in that August 24th race behind Victory Hit, could overturn the form, while (10) MIGHTY SHONE is another possible.

Selections (7) Flying Star (3) Mandaero (9) Victory Hit (2) Fun Crazy
