Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Three-year-old filly maidens with nine of the twelve racing for the first time. (8) SAMJEONG LADY ran 3rd on debut in a similar filly only maiden to this at the end of October, settling midfield and running on. She's had ten weeks off since then, but that experience can be key in seeing her home on top here. (9) CLAIR BIG BANG is the pick of the debut-makers. She led every step of the way in her trial, winning it by plenty and in a quick time. If she brings that form to the races, she is a big chance first-up. (5) TTOSUNI SEOUL was a fair 5th of eleven on debut over this distance on November 23rd and she can have come on for the run. Returning to the first timers, (11) HERO CHOICE and (6) SALVADOR hinted at ability in trials.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

After a couple of goes to figure things out, (10) LEMON K has a 3rd and a 2nd from her latest two, most recently beating three of these over this distance on December 8th when handy throughout. Expect similar tactics here and she can go one better. (7) GLOBAL SERVE was 3rd in that December race having led for much of the way around. He also has a 2nd place to his name and from a fair draw, can be on pace and in this a long way again. (9) RAON SPILETTA did nothing on debut in September but was much improved at start number two on November 30th when an on-pace 4th. An apprentice claim means he carries 2kg less this time and can continue to make progress. (11) CHEONJI LADY and (1) WONPYEONG NURI other placing chances.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(1) JISAN FORCE was ordinary on debut in October but came up to this trip for start number two on December 1st and having drawn the widest gate, came from off the pace to run a strong 2nd with a couple of today's rivals behind him. Drawing much better and without much speed in this race, he may well be on pace from the start this time and will be favoured to win.  (6) YEOLJEONGMA was slow away on debut over 1200M on December 8th but ran on well to finish in midfield. He should have derived benefit from the experience, the additional trip can suit, and he should be closer this time. That will mean overturning the form on (9) TURBO CHARGE, who ran 4th in that December 8th race. That matched her previous finish, and she is another who may enjoy the step up in distance. (10) ECO FORE and (4) THUNDER LUCKY others to consider.

Selections (1) Jisan Force (6) Yeoljeongma (9) Turbo Charge (10) Eco Fore

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only in this maiden. (8) DONGBANG FORCE enters off 2nd and a 3rd from her latest two, both at 1200M and both times racing on pace. She should be the quickest to the front here and she has every chance. (6) DIA ROOK was very narrowly beaten into 2nd three starts back when she led and was 3rd on her latest coming from off the pace. She'll be challenging for the lead here and Moon Se-young being booked for the first time means she will probably start as the favourite. (3) GRACE ROUTE improved to 3rd at start two on December 14th and from a much better draw can be in the finish again. (9) LADY FOX and (2) SWITCH POWER among other place chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) AMAZING STAR came up to this class at last on December 7th and ran an on-pace 2nd over this distance in a quick time. Both her wins (she was later stripped of the first) came over 1300M and she will be a warm favourite to prevail again. (5) SSANG OK RU has won just once in twenty-one attempts, but his recent form reads positively including a last start 4th over this distance when overcoming gate ten. He will drop back and run on and in this field, he should be aiming for better than that. The form falls off after that although (1) GANA POWER has won a trial since his latest outing and can place. (3) ARCH RUNNER and (2) NEMO SPIRIT perhaps the best of an out of sorts of late rest.

Selections (4) Amazing Star (5) Ssang Ok Ru (1) Gana Power (3) Arch Runner

(7) HANSEN BRACING got her maiden win two starts back and then ran a close 2nd in a quick race over this distance on her first try at this level on November 40th, settling just behind the speed, and running on. She comes up 3kg in weight but that shouldn't be a problem, and she won't need to improve much on that last outing to win here. (8) RAON THE KEISHA similarly won for the first time two starts back and followed up with 2nd place on her first try at this class, in her case on December 7th. Hansen Bracing has been the more eye-catching of the pair, but she is the main danger. (3) BEAT DOKKAEBI is up in class having secured her maiden win at this distance on December 8th. She was 5th behind Raon The Keisha at the start prior but she draws well, carries a light weight, and she can measure up. (1) MENI SHARK and (2) NAOL SIDAE are the other main place chances.

Selections (7) Hansen Bracing (8) Raon The Keisha (3) Beat Dokkaebi (1) Meni Shark

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(8) ONE PUNCH DRAGON ran 3rd on debut but then proceeded to win his next two in fine style and in quick times at 1200M and 1400M. That brings him up two classes in the space of as many races, and he tackles the mile for the first time too, but the manner of those victories suggests that there can be plenty more to come. (1) THUNDER HORSE and (5) ELDORADO NOLBU come in here having finished 3rd and 4th respectively when they raced each other at this class over 1400M on December 7th. While entering his seven-year-old season, the former was a class and distance winner just two starts back, while the latter is a promising up-and-comer and both can be in the mix here. (2) TINA K and (9) BAEKDU BOY others to consider.

Selections (8) One Punch Dragon (1) Thunder Horse (5) Eldorado Nolbu (2) Tina K

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(3) KING GO TAEYANG stepped up to this distance for the first time on December 15th and it what was a slowly run race, finished a creditable 4th. That continued a consistent run of form and drawn well and under a light weight, he can win. That will mean overturning the form on (2) GRAND SILVER, who won that December 15th race having settled midfield and running on. He comes up a full 3kg for that win but draws well and warrants respect. (9) SINUI UNMYEONG is one for one having scored over this distance on December 1st, racing just behind the speed and proving too strong. He comes up in class but can be competitive again. (6) BLOOD MOUNTAIN and (7) GEUMAK MYEONGJANG others who can contest the minors.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

It's hard to go past (2) WONDERFUL JET here. He won back-to-back races in June and July to get rapidly promoted to this class and followed up with two runner-up finishes on his first two tries at this level, most recently on his first try at this distance on December 1st. He draws much better this time and while he has his fair share of weight, he is the one to beat. It will mean overturning the form on (3) SPARKLING, who won that December 1st race after a slow start. That made it two wins from his last three and while he comes up 4kg in the weights and he does mix his form, a repeat isn't impossible. (6) NAEGILUI WINNER was a winner at this class two starts back and came close to repeating last time. He comes up to the 1400M for the first time and it can suit. The up in class (10) MARU JANGGUN along with (9) STUNNING LADY among plenty of others who enter with recent form reading well.

Selections (2) Wonderful Jet (3) Sparkling (6) Naegilui Winner (10) Maru Janggun

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(4) J S ROAD found himself overmatched in a valuable trophy race on international weekend in September but returning from almost three months off on December 1st, he led every step of the way over 1200M to win well in a quick time on a wet track. That brings him up a full 5.5kg in the weights, but Moon Se-young stays on and he can repeat. The danger is (6) DRONE KILLLER. He ran out a class and distance winner on November 17th settling midfield and running on. That followed a runner-up, also at class and distance, at the start before and while he too comes up in weight to the tune of 4.5kg, he can repeat. (2) VIKING HEART was 5th behind Drone Killer that day but has run once since, registering a good 3rd place on December 15th. His style is to come from a long way back so he occasionally leaves himself too much to do but he will be running on late again. (11) CONCORD QUEEN and (3) GUKDAE FIGHTER others in the placing hunt.

Selections (4) J S Road (6) Drone Killer (2) Viking Heart (11) Concord Queen

Seoul Race 11: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(3) ECLIPSE TOWN returned from over nine months out to run a very good 3rd at this class over 1200M on December 7th, coming from well off the pace and beating a couple of today's rivals. He should have come on for the run, and under a light weight and drawn well, he can win. (5) DUSON OPEN won back-to-back races in October and November, both at this distance, both in emphatic fashion. She led on December 15th when sent off as favourite only to finish 3rd and while that was enough to see her rating to tick up to class 3 level, she looks very nicely in here under a light weight and she can return to winning ways. The wildcard is (1) DRAGON BULPAE. He hasn't run since winning at this distance in March. He returns up in class but looked very well when a close 3rd in a quick trial in December and under a very light weight and drawn well, he can put in a bold showing. (2) URUS KHAN and (11) NINE EAGLE are others who enter with solid credentials.

Selections (3) Eclipse Town (5) Duson Open (1) Dragon Bulpae (2) Urus Khan
