Knight Judge Ready To Break Through

3 minute read

The Michael Clements trained Knight Judge has been rock solid in three starts this time in and appears well placed to break through for a deserved win in the seventh event at Kranji this evening.

Only lightly raced, Knight Judge has displayed good ability in his four starts to this point most recently finishing third behind Autumn Rush.

Although unable to really threaten the winner on that occasion, his performance still held merit and he now appears set to peak racing fourth up.

Formerly trained in Australia under the care of Robert Smerdon, Knight Judge is yet to break through for his first win in Singapore, however he is certainly more than capable.

On his career best form he rates highly when assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings and appears more than capable of overcoming the wide draw.

Leading rider Michael Rodd takes the reins for the first time and is clearly a key booking.

Although yet to reach his potential in Singapore, this appears a very winnable race and with Rodd in the saddle he is sure to make his presence felt.

The Alvin Tan trained Star Invincible continued his good run of form last start and looms as a major threat.

Despite only a winner of one of his 14 starts, he has displayed good ability and is certainly more than capable.

His performance when finishing fourth behind Smart Fortune leaves him well placed and a repeat should see him right around the mark.

Although a noted backmarker, the inside draw should aid his chances and he shapes as one of the main contenders.

Of the rest the Shane Baertschiger trained Montaigne appears the next in line.

Although possessing just the sole win from nine starts, he is rarely far away and rates well on his last start effort.

Montaigne has never missed the money at this track and has to be included in the main hopes.

Good luck and happy punting.
