Chalking nine wins from ten starts during the 2024 season, Antipodean (2) will be first up since taking out the G3 Sports Toto Challenge Cup back in October which followed his memorable victory in the G1 Selangor Gold Cup prior to that. The talented 4yo, now prepared by Tiang Kim Choi, will take on his former stable mate Witnessimpact  (9) which also resumes after a successful campaign last preparation which netted four wins from five starts and proved to be dominant on his rise through the grades. The Simon Dunderdale trained 5yo will carry 53.5kg after the Jerlyn Seow claim and will no doubt prove to be a worthy adversary. SUPER SALUTE (1), a G2 and G3 winner will be making his Malaysian debut alongside 2020 G1 Singapore Gold Cup winner, BIG HEARTED (6) as both runners resume after finishing unplaced in last year's Gold Cup. SUPER SALUTE's (1) career was highlighted when winning the G2 EW Barker Trophy in 2023 and his arrival makes him the fifth highest rated galloper on the local circuit, hence will also carry top weight of 59kg. One for the trifectas is the Ricky Choi trained REVUE (11), which has impressed with two wins from two starts, displaying a quick turn of foot on both occasions and is one to watch despite the class hike.

Locally unbeaten 4yo, Limitless Roar  (5) also returns to the race track in the 1200m Class 3 contest (Race 7) and also strikes a competitive field first up from a two and a half month break. Another galloper possessing a quick turn of acceleration, LIMITLESS ROAR (5)will once again be partnered by apprentice I Fikri, who has rode the gelding at each of his three local starts and from barrier 3, the combination can continue the winning trend. BINTANG SIXTY-ONE (11) is another building a good record locally with four wins from eight starts and is well weighted after filling a minor placing at his first run in this grade. NO MORE DELAY (9) notched the hat trick in easy fashion over 1100m when scoring by 8.5 lengths but is capable of measuring up against the harder lineup and chances will be enhanced if a wet track prevails on Sunday. BOY XANDER (6) is a fast beginner who will be prominent for a long way with inform jockey, Andre Da Silva riding the gelding for the first time. EMERALD LISI (1) is a Brazilian bred which raced seven times in Hong Kong without success before a brief stint in Australia where it picked up one race from only two runs in the country. The 6yo has trialled well for the Johnny Lim stable and must come into calculations following a twelve month break from the track.
