Johnny Murtagh is poised to renew his association with Oaks heroine Dancing Rain in the British Champions Fillies' And Mares' Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
Kieren Fallon partnered the William Haggas-trained filly as she racked up a classic double in the German Oaks on August 7, but Murtagh, who was riding at the Curragh that day, is in line to reclaim the ride in the Qipco-sponsored Group 2.
Haggas said: "Hopefully, Johnny Murtagh will be riding Dancing Rain at Ascot."
Consolation for Fallon is likely come in the shape of the ride on Champion Stakes contender Green Destiny, a two-time Group 3 winner and stablemate of Dancing Rain.
"The plan is to go for the Champion Stakes with Green Destiny and Kieren Fallon will take the ride," added Haggas.
