My Titania is likely to be aimed towards the Etihad Airways Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh later this month after trainer John Oxx was forced to rule out an intended trip to Newmarket this weekend.

The three-year-old has plenty to live up to as a daughter of Sea The Stars, whose victory for Oxx in the 2000 Guineas four years ago kicked off an incredible three-year-old campaign in which he won six Group Ones in as many months, including the Investec Derby and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

My Titania certainly looked the part as a juvenile, winning two of her three starts including a Group Three triumph in the C.L. Weld Park Stakes, and was due to make her return to action in Sunday's Qipco 1000 Guineas on the Rowley Mile, but a late setback has scuppered her participation.

Oxx said: "She did her last bit of work this morning, we scoped her afterwards and unfortunately it wasn't quite right.

"It's nothing much, only a minor thing, but we couldn't be sure she'd run up to her best and unfortunately that means she won't be running at Newmarket.

"You need to be 100 per cent for a race like the Guineas, so we can't take any chances with her and all being well we'll aim for the Irish Guineas at the Curragh in three weeks' time, as long as the ground is good or faster.

"It's disappointing, but these things happen."
