Richard Hannon's unbeaten filly Illuminate will sidestep the Lowther at York next week and instead wait for the Connolly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes on September 26.
An impressive winner of the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, she then followed up in Group Two company in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at the July meeting.
That form was franked when the narrow runner-up, William Haggas' Besharah, won the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot.
Hannon sees little sense in running in another Group Two when burdened with a penalty and she will head back to Newmarket next month.
"Illuminate will go for the Cheveley Park," said the champion trainer, whose charge heads the betting for next year's Qipco 1000 Guineas.
"She would have to run at York with a penalty and I don't see the point in that as she has already won at that level."
