So it's racing at Sha Tin on Tuesday 1 October 2024

There's a G3 for the feature race today which is Race 7 on the card, the National Day Cup over 1000m with 9 runners.

It is quite open with the current market having Magic Control on top on 4.1 for Dylan Mo and Matt Chadwick.  Magic Control raced in Australia as Archo Nacho and picked up a couple of wins.  This is his third start in Hong Kong and he won his last one and seems promising.  However the 1000m is a tricky race so we are leaning towards Beauty Wave on 6.7 for Ng-Badel.  Call Me Glorious is perhaps an ambitious name for a horse but he's at least consistent and is on 5.9 for Lui-Hewitson.

There is a question mark over Invincible Sage as his jockey Hugh Bowman has to pass a medical test after being stood down last Saturday with an (unspecified) ear problem.  Should all be well he has a quote of 5.4.

Race 8 is not entirely a "get-out" but is a Class 2 over 1400m with 9 runners.  Copartner Prance let us down last time but probably needed the run so we will stick with him and 7.7 is tempting – Lui-Purton.  Stablemate Patch of Theta will have Vincent Ho on board and is on 3.7 and current favourite is Sunlight Power with apprentice Jerry Chau riding for Yiu,
