Oaks d'Italia

3 minute read

This was run on Sunday at San Siro

It's a G2 and had 10 runners about half of them coming from Germany.  This time the locals were able to repel the raiders as the race was won by Tomiko 18/1 with Silvestre de Souza riding for Arigoni with Sun Never Sets a short head away in second for S Botti and M Sana and the third was Nikkei 10/1 for Biondi-Sulas.

Quetame from Andrea Suborics's stable in Germany and in the hands of Luke Morris crossed the line in fourth and then was disqualified as she had lost the weight cloth about 200m from home.  Can't think that we've ever heard of that happening and certainly not in a major race.
