TULLAMORE (Gai Waterhouse) - Brisbane Cup winner made a pleasing start to his spring campaign when he worked to the line in a strong Tramway Handicap at Warwick Farm last Saturday. Another run or two will have him ready to play a big hand in the feature staying races.

'Aspro'

SOMEPIN ANYPIN (Gary Portelli) - The scouts were very pleased with his trial at Warwick Farm recently. As long as he isn't in too tough a race this Spring, a first-up win is on the cards given his return last time was a win by three lengths. Follow him early in the prep.

Alex Steedman

AT FIRST SIGHT & MIDAS TOUCH (Robert Hickmott) - Both come out of the Makybe Diva and showed they have the ping in their legs to compete in Australia. Be they back in the field or on pace, they indicated they've now acclimatised and are capable of playing more than a bit part role during the Spring. There could easily be a minor Cup in them. Ironically they have history together including meeting in the 2010 Epsom Derby behind Workforce.

Dean Croker

DREAMAWAY (Dean Binaisse) - When you have the formlines having beaten Playing God with some contempt in the WA Derby, you might have what is required. There were grave concerns for how she had travelled to Melbourne having been transferred from the Perth yard onto the new Mornington trainer. But the very unlucky run on Saturday suggests she might be on the way back. Obviously needs to be fully tested now but if she runs well upped in trip (Underwood??) could she be a Cups chance.

Wayne Bristow

AMBIDEXTER (Peter Snowden) - This was a classic case of the improving 3yo with good breeding and a likely staying pedigree getting the right run in the race. However he surely just keeps lifting his rating as the distances get longer. Probably heads to Newcastle for the Spring Stks then onto the Spring Champion, to emulate Sousa who did the same thing giving Snowden his first Group One for the new owners.

FOUND THE ONE (John Thompson) - The full sister to G1 winner Bel Mer was explosive in a 1000m maiden at Eagle Farm midweek winning by absolute panels. She would only need dry ground and some pace on to be a player in the better races. Not suggesting the elite level at any time but there are definite open class races for her if they want to in the future.
