Feature events at Caulfield were the two Blue Diamond Previews and the Listed John Dillon Stakes won by Finishing Card in a tight finish.
Cox Plate winning jockey Chad Schofield was the big winner on the day with a treble.

In Sydney the Listed Australia Day Cup was taken out by the ever reliable Travolta who had them stayin’ alive all the way up the straight as he staved off Big Memory in a tight tussle.
Most impressive winner was the 2yo Rubick who could well be on his way to challenging for Blue Diamonds and/or Golden Slippers.
Chris Waller trained a double and Nash Rawiller rode a double.
