We go about finding a weekend special from a statistical angle.

Rosehill Race 3 - 8 Green Beret

Progressive galloper from the Joe Pride stable who proved most impressive saluting here last time out when proving far too good racing up on the speed. Obviously takes on a lot stiffer company on Saturday but has been a galloper who has always shown plenty of promise and tipping him to take that next step. Taylor Marshall links aboard for the first time on Saturday and while Green Beret does sit out of the handicap he will only carry 51kg on Saturday and does appear well placed at this stage. The speedy grey Zaratone will ensure this race is run a long at a good solid tempo. If that horse isn’t too advantaged then expect Green Beret to be very hard to out.

Key Trends

  • The Joe Pride stable is in great form of late currently striking at 16% and runs at a POT of +16% at Rosehill this season.
