ZEROING IN

We go about finding a weekend special from a statistical angle.

Eagle Farm Race 4 - 12 Kimberley Star

Talented filly from the Gai Waterhouse stable who bounced right back to form last start when working home well to finish third in the Scone Guineas.

While clearly disappointing behind Handfast two starts back, her form either side of that has been very good and she now looks to receive her more favoured wet ground.

A distinct model of consistency Kimberley Star has only missed the money four times in her career and has placed in five of six attempts over this trip.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings she appears very well placed especially with the key scratching of the Gary Moore trained Takedown.

With the speed drawn out wide she should be able to slot in just off the speed and is expected to make her presence felt.

Key Trends

  • Leading rider James McDonald links aboard for the first time and overall is striking at 15 per cent with the Gai Waterhouse stable.
