Front Page Special For Saturday 7 July 2018
Flemington Race 8 - 7 Morton's Fork - We think the best play of the day is to back some horses at good odds in the VRC Winter Championship Final on Saturday.
Over the mile, this race is often a top betting event and this year is no exception, with some strong hopes down in the weights and ready to peak.
One of those is Morton’s Fork who is a former Sandown Guineas winner. He got back into winning ways before a spell and has been closing off so well at a shorter trip.
From a lovely draw and with a very in form rider in Jamie Mott, we think the Godolphin runner is ready to land a knockout blow.
You should also give plenty of respect to the Lindsay Park rival Cool Chap who was very conservatively ridden early on a month ago.
He hasn’t won this campaign but has produced a series of top efforts at group level including just missing in the Blamey this course and distance. He’s great value.
