Flemington Race 7 - 1 Thinkin' Big - It is racing’s biggest week and there is no one who gets into Cup week more than Gai Waterhouse.

We’re more than happy to back the great first lady, along with Adrian Bott, in suggesting their top three year old Thinkin’ Big will win the Victoria Derby.

He looks great odds after a top campaign where only a wet track and issues pre-race on Spring Champion day saw him defeated.

By High Chaparral, you know he’ll run it out and there is some symmetry with Nothin’ Leica Dane on his dam side. Gai won her other Derby with that colt back in 1995.

From a middle draw, Tim Clark can work him over and either find the lead or be nearby and roll when he wants to.

Should he win as we expect, they can begin thinking bigger and run on Tuesday which would be an excellent addition to the great race. Think Big won it twice so maybe this colt has some history on his side.
