Popular jockey Chris Symons will make his raceday return at Morphettville this Saturday after a lengthy recovery from a broken foot sustained in odd circumstances.
The Victorian-based Symons will venture to Morphettville this Saturday where the hoop has confirmed he has rides for leading Adelaide trainer Tony McEvoy.
Prior to Saturday Symons will ride work at Rosehill and then also Flemington on Friday.
Symons has not ridden since late September following a freak accident in the Sale Racecourse parking lot which resulted in a broken foot.
The incident saw young apprentice Tom Sadler back his car into Symons as the popular jockey was loading riding gear into his boot.
It was an untimely interruption to Symons’ 2012/13 season which had kicked off in encouraging fashion.
Symons had already ridden two black type winners; Second Effort in the Group 2 P.B Lawrence Stakes (1400m) and Psychic Mick in the Listed Vain Stakes (1100m).
