Five entries from the Chris Waller yard head a list of 19 nominations for the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.
Waller’s dual Group-1 winner Press Statement makes his autumn return since winning the Caulfield Guineas in the spring.
Spring Champion Stakes winner Vanbrugh is also expected to return in the Hobartville after being scratched from last Saturday’s Autumn Stakes at Caulfield.
Waller’s entry list is rounded out by Counterattack, Torgersen and Dubaiinstyle.
John O’Shea has three high-class entries in Shards, Tarquin and VRC Derby runner-up Etymology.
The Eskimo Prince Stakes quinella of Spill The Beans and Le Romain are entered along with smart New Zealander Dal Cielo, last start Randwick winner Montaigne and the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Wolf Cry.
The race has also drawn several interstate entries including the Michael Moroney pair of Tulsa and Tivaci while Mick Kent has nominated Data Point and Desleigh Forster Too Good To Refuse.
