Racing And Sports highlights some key statistics for horses, jockeys and trainers at Australia’s race meetings on Monday.

Kris Lees and Aaron Bullock – Gunnedah

Trainer Kris Lees takes two runners to Gunnedah today and both come in with good hopes with Aaron Bullock in the saddle. Lees and Bullock are a dangerous combination, enjoying a 32 per cent winning strike rate together with almost half of their runners finishing in the top three. Bullock is in good form in his own right at present, striking at 24 per cent over the past month. He and Lees combine with Power Supply in Race 5 and Micucci in Race 6.

Barbara Joseph/Paul Jones and Rachel Hunt - Moruya

The Canberra training partnership of Barbara Joseph and Paul Jones team with apprentice jockey Rachel Hunt at Moruya and they share a strong recent record, striking together at 44 per cent with two-thirds of their runners finishing in the placings. The Joseph-Jones yard is currently striking at 20 per cent while Hunt has a 33 per cent success rate on favourites. They join forces with Token Of Love in Race 3, Therese in Race 6 and Duvet in Race 7.

Patrick Payne – Swan Hill

Trainer Patrick Payne has been chalking up the winners of late, enjoying a current strike rate of 28 per cent, and has five good chances to keep the run going at Swan Hill today. Payne’s day starts with Winston Wolfe in Race 2, followed by Katy Kat in Race 5, Princess Shimmer in Race 6, Tralee Chorus in Race 8 and Orange River in Race 10.

Latenight Princess – Gunnedah, Race 4

Latenight Princess will be out to continue the successful association of trainer Rodney Northam and jockey Greg Ryan in Race 4 at Gunnedah today. The trainer and jockey have won with four of their eight runners together in recent times and Ryan was aboard Latenight Princess for the first time when she won last start. That was her only appearance at this track and she has a win and two placings from her four previous runs on soft tracks.
