Winning Trainer: Richard & Chantelle Jolly (Richard speaking)
Second win for SA trainers: "Yeah, it's good to see. We always give it our best when we come over. This mare's been a bit unlucky, I'd say, this prep. She probably should have won a couple more just through gates and rides and things. But good to see her get a stake in winning the board, especially for Price Bloodstock."
Went back to Adelaide last start: "She was struggling to get a run in these races and we needed her rating to be a bit higher, so we opted to stay in Adelaide, which she duly won, bumped her up another four points to an 80 rater, which just helped her secure a run in these races because we've always thought she was good enough, but we were borderline being emergencies and not knowing where we were going. So, thankfully, we went that path and you saw the best of her today."
Nice mare: "Oh, look, she's just been a progressive mare her whole life. She really should have won a stakes race by now. She's been hampered by bad barriers. She hasn't had much go right. So, she's always been at this level, but we just had to work our way there."
Confident in run: "Once she sat outside the lead and travelled well, she's always going to give a good kick. So, yeah, I was pretty confident when they went past us at about the 100 (metres), so it's a good feeling.
Possible Flemington target: "Look, there' s a 1,400-metre race on Cup Day, which we're probably looking at. We'll let the dust settle and get her home and work it out from there."
"I think, definitely then, she'd be spelling, and certainly we' ve got some nice races in Adelaide. Obviously, our Sangster and those mare's races, she's going to really win. We'll probably fall into them well."
Winning Jockey: Craig Williams
On the win: "Credit to Chantelle and Richard Jolly, the trainers. They' ve got a really good handle on their horses. Of course, I love these colours, they're like family to me. And you see Jack Black here looking after him too, or Black Jack. So they' ve had their representatives because I think Max and Amy, my brother and sister, aren't here today. But it's great to win these colours for Price Bloodstock.
Confidence pre-race: "I certainly did. She ran in a similar type of race two runs ago and she was beaten a length, and that day was really windy and I learned a bit about her and thought she'd acquit herself really well on that day."
"Since then she went back to Adelaide and got a win and a kill, more confidence. And she drew the right barrier, looked like it was going to map well for us. And, you know, again, credit to the training operation. They bring them here ready, prepared. And then we just have to trust her willing spirit and her fitness. And she was awesome today. She really enjoyed it."
