Contributer wins 2015 Ranvet Stakes Group 1 $500,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 3yo+, 2000m.
Contributer is now unbeaten in three starts this preparation. He travelled well in sixth place and when the tempo increased suddenly, was conceding the leader (Fast Dragon) about 12 lengths nearing the 600m. James McDonald steered him along the rails rounding the home turn and he dashed through to second at the 300m. He took the lead at the 200m and was never threatened from that point to win comfortably.
Tosen Stardom settled in third place and was a distant second at the 600m when the leader raced away in front. He challenged the 200m and then fought gamely for second, finding the winner too good.
Lucia Valentina raced in fourth place on the rails. She set out after the leader on turning for home and kept battling on well for a sound third.
Silent Achiever raced in second place before dropping back to a distant third when the pace increased at the 800m. She put in a good run on passing the 300m and then kept fighting on for (3 lengths) fourth.
Hong Kong-trained Dominant was back in fifth place, fanned wide at the home turn and battled on quite well for (3.6 lengths) fifth.
