Top Of My List wins 2017 Lord Mayor’s Cup Listed $150,000 at Rosehill (NSW), 2000m.

Top Of My List made it back-to-back stakes wins with a narrow yet game win here. She drew widest (12) and raced very wide early but eventually sat in behind the pace, firstly one off the fence then on the fence when space opened up. Rider Tim Clark moved her a width wider prior to straightening and took over the running inside the 300m. She drew clear at the 200m and looked in for an easy win but had to hold out the late challenge of Allergic, who was worse than midfield at the 500m then, when finding room, ran on strongly but too late for a sound second.

Jessy Belle was fourth (rails) turning in then ran on fairly to hold third from Astronomous, who was second last at the 500m, went wide and ran on well for fourth when the race was over.
